I’m Erin Nagamine, a multidisciplinary artist, tattooer and doodler of all things. I’ve been tattooing for 10 years and currently work out of Chopstick Tattoo in Honolulu Hawai’i.
Beyond machine tattooing, I’m also part of a revival group focused on Hajichi, the traditional hand-poke tattooing of the Ryukyu Islands. This work is reserved for folx of Okinawan heritage, and I’m honored to help carry this tradition forward.
Whether its, tattooing, painting or drawing my work always circles back to the same ideas: connection, the humor of everyday, and the gravity of life it self. Oh and of course, my two naked cats.
